Greetings. I am known to many inhabitants of this sector as Uatu. I am a Watcher, a member of a race older than the Earth itself. We have dedicated ourselves to the task of passively observing the phenomena of this universe, recording the events that transpire without prejudice. Sometimes, however, we manage to catch a glimpse of what might have been, piercing the veil of reality. These alternate realities are offshoots of a single specific event and allow my people to further define and understand the individuals of our assigned sectors.
Normally, these visions last only for a fraction of a microsecond in universal temporality. However, this current aberration of reality persists, engulfing this sector and spreading further and further into the universe with every passing moment. Realities are bleeding into one another, creating a new, completely unique universe; something which perplexes me greatly. What should happen if this continues and never reaches its climax? What parts of this universe that I find comforting will be destroyed by an over-write? Will I even recognize fact from fiction given enough time? I fear I shall soon know the answer....
